So I Got That Going For Me, Which Is Nice

Very nice words from Dan Harris at China Law Blog – I somehow managed to get on his list of recommended law blogs. I attribute his post to an ingestion of some questionable sushi that must have had an effect on Dan’s judgment. This is a guess, I have no hard evidence; if it is true, however, I wish Dan well and trust that in the future, he will stop messing around with cut-rate blowfish.

Seriously , recognition of any sort is always appreciated, and it comes at a good time because it balances out today’s negativity, which comes from two sources. First, we are back from the National Day holiday. The time off was nice, and I was able to catch up on my reading, etc. Coming back to work is a huge bummer, however. Holidays are never long enough.

Second, and I am not making this up, I noticed this morning that my refrigerator has this thin LCD panel at the very top, which includes some sort of diagnostic readout. At the extreme left side is a status window with red letters that are supposed to mean something to me. Today’s little red letters flashed, very clearly, “FU” at me; nothing else, just “FU”. This is not what I usually expect from my frig in the morning (or any other time), and luckily none of the other kitchen appliances decided to mouth off today. You have to admit that it is disheartening, though, not a good way to start the week.

Anyway, a little good news from China Law Blog to turn things around on this Monday morning. Most welcome.

  1. I gave you the kudos despite the questionable sushi, not because of it.
