NDRC Says No New School Fees for Additional Security
OK, which degenerate, tone deaf school administration(s) started charging parents more money for added security measures?
I understand the problem, of course. A bunch of twisted psychos start attacking kindergartens with meat cleavers, chopping up little kids. The government steps in with unfunded mandates for additional security measures. The schools freak out because their profits are taking a hit.
But seriously, passing on these costs to the poor, stressed out parents? At least they could have waited until next year to recoup the costs. I think these guys need some PR advice, and quickly.
School fees are already sky high. I’m glad the government is regulating this:
The National Development and Reform Committee (NDRC) issued an emergency notice banning any forms of security administrative fees in schools and kindergartens.
The notice also requests provincial authorities tighten supervision on school charges.
For schools that collected such fees, the money should be returned to students, according to the notice.
