Life Intrudes on Blog: MIP IP Forum in HK
Yeah, sometimes real life gets in the way of the blogging, and this week is one of those times. I’ll be going down to Hong Kong later today and attending the Managing Intellectual Property 7th Annual IP Forum on Wednesday and Thursday. Blogging should resume Friday.
I’ll be moderating a panel on Social Media and IP on Wednesday at 4:00 (for anyone who will be attending). I put together a group of speakers that can cover a lot of territory; half are academics and half are practicing attorneys. I’m sort of both, so I’m counting myself twice.
Should be fun. We plan to cover trademark, brand management, copyright, trade secrets, and employee issues. It’s a lot to cover in one hour. I’m going to try and limit my introductory remarks (sort of a “What is Social Media?)” to ten minutes, which should be challenging since I tend to drone on when in front of an audience. I think it’s a lawyer thing.
Not sure what the Net situation will be at the conference or at my hotel, so we’ll see if I can pump out a post or a Tweet or something along the way.
For those of you who will be attending the IP Forum, please say hi if you can find me. If during the proceedings you want to duck out and eat dim sum, please take the time to find me first. (Some things are more important than knowledge.)
