OK, seriously, for me it's a legal issue. If the law allows a Chinese company to buy assets unless there is a clear national security exception, then the government should allow it to happen. Period. Norwegians aren't a threat to anyone. If we allowed a Russian company but not a Chinese one, that would be a better example. Though I suspect Congressmen woudl go crazy over Russians too.
